So far, I loved the first Cabin Fever but really disliked the second one. I didn’t know what to expect with this one.
The first 10-15 minutes is not the high point. I just encourage you to pay attention, make it through, and it gets much better. We have 2 main stories that inevitably converge. There’s a medical lab that is working on a cure for this virus, and they have taken Sean Astin and are holding him in this lab because he may be the cure. In the other story, 3 friends take their buddy to a supposedly deserted island and give him a bachelor party. The island also has the research lab and obviously, lots of people get infected and die.
This definitely felt like a more cohesive and smart story than the sequel. I would say that this is possibly rewatchable. I think I enjoyed it enough to watch it again on a rainy day. Everything about this was simply better than part 2. The acting, the production, the gore, the story, everything except the music. I really loved the music in the sequel. I think if you give this a try, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Rating: 5.4 – I think I would watch this again and I worry that people who see part 2 may fear to watch this one. Don’t let the sequel prevent you from seeing a fun film.

I am doing a GoFundMe to help pay for the costs to keep 9deuce.com up and running. I don’t make any money off of the site. I do it because I love it, but it is expensive at times, and I had to recently renew for 3 years. So I am asking any of my readers to consider donating if they have the extra funds. If you don’t, I get it. It would mean a lot to me.
