I remember being initially excited about this film. I truly enjoyed the first film and hope that it would return more toward that. Then the film was set to be released and then the protests. The director, Victor Salva, has a past involving child molestation and child porn. Because there is a sexual abuse story in the film, sensitive snowflakes got bent out of shape. Keep in mind, this stuff happened almost 30 years ago and he served his time. No, I don’t support any of this. I think it is fine to not support him, but protesting and ruining this film’s release for fans of the franchise is utter bullshit and that is why I get pissed off. It’s the great American mindset that we know what’s best for everyone, so we will ruin something that other people enjoy so we can be on some moral high ground. To any potential fucktards that actively protested and helped ruin this film’s release, please, go kindly fuck yourself. Go protest the man, not the film.
With that rant out of my system, this film wasn’t very good and I am glad that I didn’t have to spend any money to view this one. Well, no money in the sense that it was on SyFy very fast. I didn’t care much for the story or many of the actors. Performances were fine, but I wasn’t actively cheering many people.
I will say that I am a fan of Meg Foster, who has been in some other notable stuff, like Masters of the Universe, They Live, and 31. The real star of this one for me was Stan Shaw, who was the black dude in Monster Squad and probably the best actor in this thing. I truly enjoyed his performance. The Creeper is always fun. The story progressively bores me more and more though. I don’t have an interest in rewatching this. Supposedly, there is a story for the 4th already. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. The problem is the 23-year thing, it limits options. I’d keep going back in time if I were them. Do period pieces.
Rating: 4.0 – It was very watchable, but in the end, it wasn’t that fun for me. I wish I had better things to say.

I am doing a GoFundMe to help pay for the costs to keep 9deuce.com up and running. I don’t make any money off of the site. I do it because I love it, but it is expensive at times, and I had to recently renew for 3 years. So I am asking any of my readers to consider donating if they have the extra funds. If you don’t, I get it. It would mean a lot to me.
