They start right off with footage from the very end of the original, with what’s her tits getting dragged away.
We have some heavily armed guys, like military or SWAT, something like that. This takes place directly after the events of part 1. This doctor guy is telling the military guy that it’s OK to remove the masks. Really? I keep them on given the situation. He’s all about getting samples.
They are up in the penthouse where the doctor guy lived and listen to his tapes about mosquitoes and there’s all kind of newspaper clippings on the wall. I liked it. I am learning that Martos is this group’s bitch. Fucking hell, Martos got attacked, now he is attacking his partners. Idiots, why are you guys only sending one guy at a time. Apparently Christianity stops all evil. Praise Jesus.
These guys have stayed near the door, just fucking talking, not getting away, keeping space. OK, so this is now about possessions. Really? Fucking bullshit. Why turn something cool and scientific into religion stuff. This doctor is actually a priest. Well, Larra or Rosso is pissed. Dealing with demons.
They knock down some awesome looking door, and it’s like a second part of the apartments. They find pictures of kids, like in files and there’s quite a few, then they get attacked. Rosso is the cameraman, Larra is one guy, then there is the chief who I think is Jefe, and then Dr. Owen. The priest/Dr. Owen just shot a kid in the head. Awesome.
Up in the air duct, they found a fridge with vials and shit. 2 of them come after Larra, but he escapes just in time. But nobody is firing Well, Owen is testing the blood in the vial, it goes on fire when the crucifix touches the sample. It also goes on fire in the vial that Chief is holding. Owen is pissed. A real person comes up, they kill him but see others, and one has a camera. Suddenly about 10 possessed people come from all directions. Larra gets separated.
Larra gets surrounded, and he does what he can, till he is down to a pistol. He looks himself in the bathroom and kills himself. Back to Jefe and Owen and of course Rosso. A little girl attacks and Owen is trying to make her talk, but Jefe can’t hold her, so they eventually shoot her, and Owen is pissed. Also, the 3 survivors are seen on Martos camera.
Now we get old footage of the survivors. We see how they sneak into the building, we have a fireman and a middle-aged man. The 3 teens are Tito, Ori, and Mire. Their entrance was welded shut, they must have been followed. We Awesome bottle rocket kill. The middle-aged man was bitten during the attack. The middle-aged guy is fucked.
They find Martos in the room and open it. Smart. Martos attacks and Mire’s useless ass just shot the fireman, and then Martos. Well, Jefe’s group find these 3 young idiots, and Ori got bit. Owen says to grab him and lock him in the room. Ori has turned. They have locked Tito and Mire in the room instead. And look down the hall, and there’s Angela, the main girl from the original. Shiiiit. Owen is looking Medeiros, which is the demon.
They have Ori taped to a chair. Owen is trying to learn the whereabouts of the original girl. Ori is saying typical demon things, including telling him to look in his mother’s cunt. Oh, they have to use night vision and go up to the penthouse to find the OG girl. Jefe just got dragged into like a well. Jackass. Rosso just got attacked, via hammer. This night vision shit, Owen looks fucking evil. There’s the girl demon creature thing. It only senses by sound. Haha, Owen’s radio went off. Angela shot the creature to save Owen. Owen never responded. Owen won’t give the order to get them out, and he won’t until the mission is over. Angela is betting Owen’s ass to give the order. She just shot Rosso. She is on top of Owen, telling him to give the order. She has to be possessed. She slams his head to the ground. She grabs his mic, and the demon can do Owen’s voice.
Back to the end of the first one. The one that dragged Angela away, transferred the demon into her when she was dragged. Well, that explains things. So, that’s Medeiros for ya….right?
End Film.
This wasn’t bad but nowhere as good as the original. Owen kinda irked me. The 2 kids in the room were never seen again. Odd. Maybe in part 4. I hated this whole religious bullshit. It’s better as just a badass infection. I liked bringing Angela back and show what happened in the gap between 1 and 2.
Final rating: 5.3 I may watch it again
