This week, Devante’s lie was exposed, as was his past. Devante and Rodrigo met their end and Lincoln gave EZ and Angel a task that they may end up regretting. My name is Kent and I write the questions every week and I have a great group of people who answer them. - Will Jimenez make it out of this season alive?
Kristi: I don’t think so. (Awww)
Raylene: I say no I am to assume we are to think that Lincoln wants EZ and Angel to take him out but I think he’ll die while protecting EZ. (Yeah, he actually seems like a good dude, so maybe.)
Eric: No. He is going to die. He is going to be used as a pawn by Lincoln. (Yeah, he’s kinda just likable enough and has been given just enough screen time for us to care if he dies.)
Kent: Huh, I honestly thought some would say yes. I am going to say yes because it’s an obvious no. But think about how valuable he could be to the MC. I have this gut feeling and since my gut is bigger than all of yours, I trust in it.
- Was Devante’s murder a good or bad moment in your opinion? What about Rodrigo’s “suicide”?
Kristi: Although I’m pissed about it, it was a good move. Rodrigo’s suicide was also good. They set that up well. (Yeah, I was pissed too. Devante was in my top 5 favorite characters, so I hated to see it happen, but knowing that he was the man that did that to Adelita’s family, I accepted it.)
Raylene: I didn’t see that one coming honestly and Rodrigo death now will not have him seen as a martyr so it was a smart move (Yeah, it was actually a very good and underrated move with the computer stuff in regard to Rodrigo. I looked at some recaps, and nobody mentioned it and I thought that was clutch.)
Eric: Good moments (We need to drink together again soon.)
Kent: I hated seeing Devante die, and the only saving grace was that it was done by one of the few characters that I like better than him, and there aren’t many. Adelita is such a good female character, which is refreshing considering how awful Emily is. Rodrigo’s suicide was almost poetic. I really enjoyed the stuff they left on his computer. I fear this blog getting flagged so I am not going to use that term.
- Would Galindo have still offered up Devante to Adelita if he didn’t lie about his brother’s death?
Kristi: I don’t think so.
Raylene: I say no because he was fairly upset about the lie
Eric: I don’t think so.
Kent: Only, once again, I thought I’d get a yes from someone. I am losing my touch. I think he would have due to the desperation of his current situation. He has to try to make this Los Olvidados situation work. I’m also not so sure how big of a deal the lie is, if I am being truthful. I know, you all think I’m crazy for that but is that lie THAT big of a thing?
- Which character’s story has you most intrigued at the moment?
Kristi: I like when Lincoln comes on screen. I dislike him so much that I enjoy him. (Lincoln is such a unique guy, and I don’t know many actors that could pull it off. It’s like smart, crazy, and eccentric all at the same time. He is must-see TV at the moment.)
Raylene: I say Coco. (Okay, while I am commenting on most of these as I would have without knowledge of the finale, I will say that this part disappointed me. I really was getting into Coco’s story and I felt like it fizzled a bit.)
Eric: Lincoln (Eric, have you seen him in any other roles?)
Kent: Lincoln/Jimenez situation has me by the balls demanding my attention.
- Just a guess here, but I feel like we are going to find out who killed EZ’s mother in the season finale. Will it be a familiar face from this show or from Sons or neither?
Kristi: I say Sons. I need to see some of the boys.
Raylene: Sons I say Juice
Eric: Sons to tie the two shows together more.
Kent: I have two schools of thought here. What about Cole? If you see in the beginning “Previously on Mayans MC” and you see Cole, I would give him a 40% chance. I think Sons too. There’s a beloved character who never really got justice served on him, Tig Traeger. He did some messed up shit and never really got in much trouble. I will be paying extra close attention to who is guest starring this week in the credits.
Final Thoughts – Any final bold predictions such as deaths, reveals, plot twists, etc.?
Kristi: Angel dies. (That has been the prediction I think since the first or second episode. Angel has become a very compelling character, which worries me a bit, haha.)
Raylene: Chibs joins the show (That would make me soooo happy.)
Eric: EZ will be moved from prospect. Adelita is going to die. (I feel like EZ being elevated was one of the other early predictions that we have been waiting for. Adelita dying would be a gut punch moment for me. It may happen, but I think that is for season 2 or 3. Hell, I thought Galindo would be dying this season, but now it seems less likely.)
Kent: Felipe gets got trying to protect Jimenez. (Man, I was so soooo wrong.)
