This week, the M.C. tries to rescue Adelita and then they do, and then she tells them to leave her. It wasn’t a great episode. 1. Why was Potter so pissed about Adelita being in a dog cage if minutes later he tells her that he plans on torturing her?
Raylene: Perhaps he plans on torturing her after the baby is born. Maybe he lost his own child at some point. (Maybe he fed that child too much soup. But I am struggling to see him ever have a child, or a woman for that matter, but when he was young, mayhaps.)
Kent: I don’t really know. I think he just likes talking down to people and wanted to put the mercs in their place. I don’t have any other theories.
2. Which Emily scene annoyed you more this week: her whiny talk with Miguel or her inquisitive talk with Felipe?
Raylene: Any scene she’s in but typical dumb bitch move oh you are showing some admiration for another woman and immediately you are in love with her. Also, she’s just an awful actress. (There’s our weekly Raylene hating on Emily moment brought to you by Miller Lite. Okay, that is a lie, but I do enjoy the product placement in the shows.)
Kent: The first one. Miguel had a rough day, he’s been a good husband and she is constantly giving him shit and going behind his back. Also, where the hell was Nestor and Dita this week?
3. Was it smart of Angel to let the MC know that he is the father? Also, do you think that he is the father?
Raylene: Yes it was wise because he was going to get a bullet in his bubble goose if he didn’t settle his ass down. I hope he is maybe giving that family a chance for a new start. (Yeah, Bishop was on the verge of fucking him up. It was the smart play.)
Kent: It was smart because he was acting more and more erratic and it was going to get him hurt. It still might, but it bought him some time.
4. Bishop and Angel got into a fight. Based on what we have seen, who would you pick to win that fight? Also, has EZ gained weight?
Raylene: Bishop all the way and I haven’t really paid attention to EZ. (I feel that EZ has bulked up or gotten portly. I am not sure yet. He has a certain roundness to his midsection I feel.)
Kent: Angel was a huge size advantage, but did you see Bishop go on the attack? He may have little man complex and he has survived this long. I think I’m taking Bishop. I think Angel is a go for broke fighter and Bishop would be a bit smarter.
5. Would you consider Potter’s plan a success?
Raylene: Sure it has worked he should have more pull on US soil now. (Yeah, I would say that it has to be considered more a success than a failure.)
Kent: I don’t really know. I guess the answer is yes. It seems like the end result is what is important, not the adventure.
Final Thoughts – What was your nominee for the Jax Teller Memorial Award for the silliest thing that happened this week. We are officially halfway through the season.
Raylene: The whole scene how they stopped Adelita car these chase scenes have just been really ridiculous this season. (They’ve really upped their chase game this season. Maybe this will bring mack fond memories.)
Kent: Chucky’s talk about familial ties was great, but Potter used one of my favorite terms with “troglodyte”. Now if he can toss in Mongoloid, I’ll be super excited. I truly loved seeing Felipe, Angel, and EZ together. That scene made me incredibly happy. I know that Raylene was specific, but I will say everything from the guys spying out to the window to the chase. It was all so ridiculous.
Honestly, this episode was a relatively big letdown. There wasn’t much to discuss this week. I hope next week gives us more content to sink our teeth into. They could have possibly saved some of the bigger things from Ep 4 to use in Ep 5 to make things more interesting.
